Free Things to do in Berlin

Berlin is known for low budget travelling. But what if you have no budget at all?! Marc shows you the four most important free things that you can go discover. Make sure to bring along an interest for history, because this city is packed with it.

The first stop is Brandenburg Gate. This place is relatively touristy, however due to its incredible history it is an absolute must visit. During the video Marc shows some pics of historical events that have taken place here, from prussian victory marches over to protests against the GDR during the cold war.

Next up is the memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe. This impressive monument is located just beside the Brandenburg Gate and cannot be overlooked due to its sheer size. Do make sure to go see the free museum that is attached to the monument, it is very humbling.

Walking on to the site on which the headquarters of the GESTAPO and the Waffen SS were located, Marc shows you the Topography of Terror museum which documents the struggle of the jewish people in Europe during the second world war.

Konnopke is a typical Berlin Currywurst joint, which has been making the Berlin speciality since the 1930s! Here, Marc meets his goofy friend Manuel to try the famous sausage for you. Make sure you go try it yourself. Despite the laughs it is actually super good!

The last place that we want to recommend to you is the Berlin Wall Memorial, which essentially is a long stretch of grass on which the Berlin Wall and its deaths trip were located. Marc and Manuel show you the most interesting spots and “must know facts”.
