The Best Cafes in Berlin

If you are traveling to Berlin and wondering where the best cafes in town are located, then look no further! Our insider Zoey introduces you to Berlin’s hip cafes and shows you what makes those hidden gems special.

Her first stop, Bonanza Coffee Heroes, is one of Berlin’s most popular coffee brands. Located at Oderberger Strasse in Berlin’s Mitte district it attracts many locals, claiming that it’s coffee is so good that you should not “die before trying”. After comparing a Cappuccino with a Flat White Zoey makes her way towards the next coffee mecca: The Barn. However, as the esteemed locale yields a “no cameras” policy, the girls are kicked out.

Undeterred by their love for caffeine, Zoey and Steff move on to Kaschk at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.  This place has an interesting red light interior and also features a great local beer on tap – Berlø! However, since the coffee is served way too hot the girls undertake the journey to “Cafe 9” rather quickly.

Cafe 9 is super cozy, bright, and perceived as much friendlier than the Barn. Besides, they show a live roastery behind the glass where their own homemade coffee is produced. Not surprisingly, the conclusion is – best interior with the best coffee so far.

The last coffee destination – Voo Store – (located at Oranienstrasse) is an interesting and trendy mix between a fancy/hipstery clothing shop and a tiny stylish cafe. Having had WAY too much caffeine already the ladyship decides to make due with tea, which is very nicely served in “lovely little cups”.
